Lifesong for Orphans

Adoption is our ultimate goal in caring for orphan children as it enables them to become a part of God’s perfect plan…a family.

While many Christian couples have the desire and resources to care for a child, initial costs keep many from following God’s call to adopt.

Lifesong financially supports adoptions by offering these innovative adoption funding tools:

Interest Free Loans

The Lifesong Legacy Fund offers interest free loans to help couples overcome the high cost of adoption. As the loans are repaid, new family needs are met…creating a self-perpetuating fund.

• Couples enter into a covenant agreement to repay the loan through manageable monthly or annual payments.

• Couples may utilize the Federal Adoption Tax Credit (of up to $12,150 per child) to support their loan payments.

• Key Strategy — Funds become ’self-perpetuating’, where loan repayments each month are recirculated to help meet current needs of new adopting families.

Matching Grants

Lifesong offers matching grants (range from $2,000-$4,000), which encourage the adopting couple’s church family to financially and prayerfully support the adoption.

• Dollar-for dollar matching grants act as catalysts in raising funds.

• Involving the local church creates a lifelong bond between the church family and the adopted child.

• Key Strategy — Catalytic tool that mobilizes & engages the Body of Christ, leveraging funds to help bridge the financial gap.

Church Adoption Funds

Lifesong helps churches create and launch Church Adoption Funds for their congregation or community. Lifesong helps churches overcome common hurdles, by providing the administration and facilitation of the Church Fund on behalf of the church (at no cost to the church).

Orphan Care

The other strategic initiative is our Orphan Care programs in Ethiopia, Honduras, India, Liberia, Ukraine, and Zambia, where we have come alongside of orphans to love on them, teach job skill training, provide foster parents, mentors, schools and transition homes…helping them to break the cycle of hopelessness….by becoming Christian leaders in their own country.

ABBA Fund

abba-fund_webWe provide interest-free loans to Christian couples who are deterred from fulfilling their calling to adopt because of financial obstacles.

We also provide free administration of adoption funds (both interest-free loans and matching grants) to churches, adoption agencies and businesses.

Through LegacyChild (LegacyChild.org) we give families the opportunity to establish a memorial fund in memory of a loved one and choose a pre-approved family from our website to help adopt.
