Adoption Support

Christians interested in expanding their family through adoption are invited to the Louisville Orphan Care Initiative Adoption Seminar held each April and October and hosted by Southeast Christian Church.

The seminar is a great place to start your adoption journey. The General Session includes Pre-adoption education, Adoption Support, information on Home Studies, Legal Considerations and Financial Assistance. We understand that the decision to place a child for adoption is difficult and that decision is made through the birth parent’s love for their child and with the child’s best interest in mind. Our purpose and calling is to allow God to use our adoption experiences and stories to bring honor and glory to Him and encourage and support those who are in the process of adoption or considering adoption.

Coffee Chats are offered to gather adoptive couples to share in the journey of adoption through prayer, support, questions and concerns. Mentor couples are also available if couples desire prayer and connection to a couple who has already journeyed through the adoption process and transition into the family.

We are a group who believe in Christ-centered adoption, just as we believe strongly in Christ-centered marriage, and will be available to serve others by walking beside them in the adoption process. We are not counselors or agencies, just couples who have traveled through the spiritual trials and triumphs of adoption. It is also our desire to connect adoptive families to one another and to Jesus Christ.

Arise for Children, Inc. is a licensed non-profit child placing agency serving orphans and adoptive families throughout the United States. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of children and families through advocacy, education, and adoption. We are a small agency focused on building a supportive community for our families. We pledge excellent communication, ethical facilitation, and exceptional care to all entrusted to us.
