This is to remind everyone to to register now for the Empowered To Connect Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, to receive the early bird rate. The $10 off registration offer ends on August 11 (less than a week away!).

The Empowered to Connect Conference is a two-day conference focused on equipping families, churches and professionals to bring hope and healing to adopted and foster children. Hosted by Show Hope board members Dan and Terri Coley, the conference will take place during September 10-11, 2010.

The Empowered to Connect Conference features sessions and workshops led by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Michael and Amy Monroe. Dr. Karyn Purvis, co-author of The Connected Child, will share her research, tips and strategies for easing post-adoption family life. Regie Hamm, writer of the hit song “The Time of My Life,” sung by American Idol’s David Cook, will share about how both the struggles and triumphs of adopting led to the writing of this song. You don’t want to miss this event!

We are looking for donations of food or money to supply the following for an OCA Foster Family Support Bowling Event on August 21^st.  With the donations we are hoping to supply a light breakfast of donuts, muffins, and fruit with napkins and small plates to serve 60 people.

We have some donated prizes for the event but are also looking to buy a few gift cards as a raffle.
